He can often be found greeting our guests with a cheerful hello and friendly smile as they walk through our doors.
To some he's mysterious but to us, he is "our" Dean.
L+C - When you started Michauds, you remained a behind the scenes partner for a number of years. What made you decide to be a prominent face of the business?
D- It was strange because I didn't know any of the clients. Today, I can recognize clients and I know their names and who their stylist is. I've built relationships.
L+C - What is your role with the Business Improvement Association?
D- I am a founding member here in Cloverdale. Currently I'm the treasurer.
I originally took the job because it needed to be done and I knew what I was doing.
L+C - You quietly recycled for 18 years, when and why did you choose
D - Cause I loved the idea. Recycling is a big deal, this planet isn't ours. It is our responsibility to recycle when ever possible. When they brought it to us, I was all in.
L+C - How did you feel when your father passed the dry cleaning
business over to you?
D- My dad had always offered for me to take over the business. I spent the first 6 months learning. We grew to 3 dry cleaning businesses. There were bumps but we learned. My dad let me make all the decisions. He allowed me to do whatever I wanted with both success and failure.
L+C - What are your biggest accomplishments as a company? Or what are you the most proud of?
D - Being a part of the staff's growth. I like making a difference in someone's life. I also take pride in making my parents proud of all my accomplishments.
L+C - Who are you? Cheri? Troy? Why does your dynamic work and what is your relationship with each other?
D- Cheri is my sister. Having someone like Cheri was something I needed. She's outgoing, protective and she was meant to be in my life. She is the heart and emotion of Michauds. Troy is like my little brother. I talk to Troy about life more than I would talk to anyone else. I know so much about him than most. Troy is pretty wild and he's tough to tame, but I needed him to be tamer for the company. This place is not the same without him. He gives this place soul.
